I cant even stay connected long time enough to make a post on this website. which is now equal to having a 1/90 or 1,11% of the actual speed available.

My download speed is now reduced to 0,11Mbit and 0,20Mbit Up. The router is working, the net is working ON ALL MACHINES EXCEPT THIS ONE! When i write i have tryed EVERYTHING thats kinda what i mean. If you only will give me noob and retard advice like Ģ) have you tryed restarting the router ?Ĥ) is your netcard set to "disable to save power"? PLZ stop giving me idiotic advice, it's simply not what i need to listen to atm. but i have tryed many things with no results. i normally dont find myself in any wifi/ethernet problems that i cant solve. I have the powerplan and netcard settings set to never turn off to save power. I have tryed searching for a faster DNS also. I have tryed removing the Killer Drivers, via the MSI forum (which btw was a hassle since it kept reinstalling faster than i could uninstall).

and voila im back at 1 mbit (if im lucky) meanwhile running the same test on the old gives me 15/15. i have to do a "troubleshoot problems" before it can connect again. Every 5-10 minutes it disconnects totally and cant even see the network. and at the same time my wifi crashes constantly on this laptop (the MSI). I have around 1/8 to 1/15 of the speed that my oldschool crappy notebook win7 gets standing right next to my pc. However i have a more pressing problem now. Yeah apparently i should be getting 21xxx in firestrike test (with a 1080 card) instead of 17xxxx (according to the guide provided in this thread to). The advantage of that tool is that you can run the benchmark in a "Window" while monitoring the CPU/GPU/VRAM clocks and temperature.ĭuring that benchmark, the CPU should be clocked at 3.5GHz (all cores), GPU probably around ~1600MHz and VRAM at 1251MHz (=10000MHz effectively). Instead of 3DMark or CS:GO, you can also run Unigine Heaven (Freeware graphics benchmark). You can check clocks and temperatures with the Sensors function of HWInfo64. While you are testing Games or benchmarks you should check if the CPU/GPU/VRAM clocks and temperatures are OK.

Uninstall it and then install the latest version (you can even test 3DMark or CS:GO in between when it is uninstalled): In the Driver's System Information you can also check if you have latest graphics card vbios (it's on the same webpage as the EC firmware).Īlso make sure the correct adapter is properly connected (in battery mode graphics performance is much lower).Īnother thing that can have a major influence on the performance/power settings is the Dragon Gaming Center (especially older versions don't always run properly). You can also right click on the Desktop and choose Nvidia Control Panel. This notebook has a hardware switch between Intel integrated Graphics mode and Nvidia GPU mode, os it does not use automatic switching (=Optimus). Hardware wise you only need to check if the GTX 1080 is in your Device Manager of Windows (right-click on Windows menu button->Device Manager-> Dispaly Adapters).

I noticed your bios is a bit older (v30A), you might want to update that part first to v313:Īfterwards load up the bios defaults by going into the bios setup (pressing Delete button at startup) and when you are in the bios setup press F9 (=load defaults) and F10 (=save & Exit).Īlso check if you have the latest Embedded Controller (EC) version.

We need to figure out if it's a hardware or software issue. There are several things that can cause this.
